HOW TO USE THIS GUIDE

Very few abbreviations or symbols are used in this book.  Those which do exist are explained below.

PRIVATE PARK CLASSIFICATIONS

The following is found before the star rating.

CG - Campground
RV - recreational vehicle park
MH - spaces in a mobile home park

PUBLIC PARK CLASSIFICATIONS

The following is found after the park name.

BLM - Bureau of Land Management
COE - Corp of Engineers
CP - city or county management
NF - National Forest System
NP - National Park System
PP - (Canada) Provincial Park
SF - State Forest System
SP - State Park System

THE MAP at the start of each state and province shows only those towns under which parks/campgrounds are listed.  These towns are not the exact location of each campground, but, instead, KEY TOWNS and all listed parks/campgrounds have directions given from that KEY TOWN.  The KEY TOWN heading also bears a letter and numeral which are the grids on the map at the start of the state.

IN THE LISTING of each park/campground, the number of sites will be stated.  Following that information, the number of hookups is given: (E-80, W-80, S-20).  E is electric hookups, W is water hookups and S is sewer hookups.  Pets, on leash, are accepted at parks/campgrounds which do not state "No Pets" in their listings.
